We recognize that underage alcohol and other drug (AOD) consumption is a multifaceted issue that impacts youth on many levels. To adequately address the diverse factors, the Sacramento Youth and Alcohol Coalition was developed in community collaboration with representation from a wide variety of stakeholders, many with a long history in AOD prevention. Although participation is open to all interested organizations, key stakeholders with an unambiguous vested interest in reducing underage drinking and drug use were targeted for the initial founding of the coalition.
